Submissions Details

High-quality research submissions on any of the topics of the event are sought. The conference organizes twelve main tracks around the twelve principal topics. All the papers submitted to the conference will be peer-reviewed by experts in the area. Industrial and Ph.D. tracks will be organized separately. In addition to the main tracks, special tracks for specific aspects covered by these ten main topics will be organized.

Types of Submissions


The World Summit on the Knowledge Society encourages the following types of submissions:
Full Research Papers [maximum 10 pages]
Reviews should focus on the following guidelines when submitting full research papers: The key objective is the presentation of research outcomes and the length should be 3,000-4,500 words. The evaluation factors include 20% theoretical background, 40%significance of propositions, 20% quality of writing, and 20% discussion of implications.
Research in Progress Papers [maximum 6 pages]
The key objective is to outline interesting future research outlets, while keeping the length from 2,000-2,500. The evaluation factors include 30% theoretical background, 30% methodology outlined, 20% quality of writing, and 20% research problem description.
Case studies [maximum 6 pages]
Reviewers should focus on the objective: discussion of real world implementations, while keeping it at the length of 3,000-3,500 words. Evaluation factors include: Research Issues (30%), Promotion of theory & Practice (30%), Discussion of outcomes (20%), and Quality of writing (20%).
Literature Review Papers [maximum 6 pages]
When submitting literature review papers, please focus on the main objective: Intensive Critiques of literature / Gaps for possible research. The evaluation factors will include: theoretical background (40%), critical thinking (20%), discussion of gaps in theory (20%), and quality of writing (20%).
Critique of Clusters of Knowledge Society projects [maximum 8 pages]
Please keep the key objective as the evaluation of outcomes when submitting a 3,000-5,000 word critique. The evaluations factors will include: methodologies used (50%), discussion of performance gaps (30%), and the quality of writing (20%).
Vision papers [maximum 8 pages]
Please keep the key objective as crafting roadmaps for the future when submitting a 2,000-4,000 words paper. The evaluation factors will include: innovation (50%), theory and technology exploitation (20%), and the quality of writing (20%).
Poster/Demos [maximum 4 pages]

It is requested all authors to read carefully the Springer Author Guidelines and to use the Springer Lecture Notes Template which is available from the following link.
